The genius loci team is a multi-cultural and inter-disciplinary design team, composed of Masters graduates from Domus Academy and founded in March 1999 in Milan.

This new relational and non-profit platform that allows for the exchange and growth of creative projects is supported by Future Concept Lab, an Institute of International research and Strategic Consulting based in Milan. The initiatives, the genius loci lab project (1999) and the creation of this website (2001), give emphasis to the creative and innovative processes that take place on the international scene.

The themes/issues in the genius loci lab propose information related to the current phenomena (experimenting), the methodologies and theoretical issues (researching) and the creative/artistic expressions, design issues and innovation (visioning). At the same time, the process of creative pollination is based on the "transformations" of signals gathered from all around the world regarding the 4P- People, Places, Plans & Projects.

In various occasions during the year the genius loci team selects and rewards innovative thoughts and visions. The team monitors various important events all around the world in order to select designs, ideas and visions of young creative people. On the other side, creative minds that come from different parts of the world can propose and present their projects and ideas in the genius loci lab, by sending material directly to the team.
